Where is the seahorse in the food web?
Seahorses eat small crustaceans, zooplankton, krill and shrimp. Baby seahorses can eat up to 3,500 brine shrimp a day! They only eat their food alive and suck it up through their tube shaped mouth because they have no teeth. Their predators include the striped anglerfish, the bottom-dwelling flatheads, crabs and even penguins! Most animals don't eat seahorses because of their bony bodies. Adult seahorses have hardly any natural predators. By Ruby
